As it was very important for us, to receive certain information, we, Stephan Lidel and Martin Thoma pooled together and created the “Rural District Office” group. Fortunately, Mr. Wall and Mrs. Hitzler from the Rural District Office “Augsburg-Land” helped with words and deeds. Mr. Wall accorded us footprint drawings of the school building of “Paul-Klee-Gymnasium” and he briefed us about the rehabilitation measures that had already been performed. Mrs. Hitzler made the energy cost bills of the last six years available to us and furthermore, she explained those to us. Since someone could plan a burglary, we are not permitted to publish those footprint drawings. Furthermore, we are not permitted to publish energy cost bills due to reasons of data protection.
At this point, it has to be pointed out that the Rural District Office “Augsburg-Land” does not fulfil the bad cliché of German public authorities that are said to be bureaucratic. Far from it! The collaboration was affected positively by the quick responses of Mrs. Hitzler and Mr. Wall.
