School building inspection with Mr. Bauer
On January, 24th 2008, ten students of class 11a were on their way with Mr Bauer, a free-lancing energy consultant. They were looking for leaky spots at the building of the school where energy gets lost. At the radiators we learned that they work with a mix of gas and oil. Furthermore, we found out that the neighbouring school is energetically dependent on our school. Next to the radiator an air conditioning system was discovered which, however, has been out of order for 25 years. The students also used a laser analyser to measure the windows, for calculating exactly how many square metres have to be replaced for preventing to keep further losses of energy. In the end we can say that there are many possibilities to save energy at our school.
